Best experience ever!
Villa Suzanne hit it out of the park. The whole experience could not have gone smoother from start to finish-not one little hiccup. And then the property itself was truly exceptional. Beautiful, clean, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we needed (right down to pool floats and a crib for our littlest one)! With four kids, we don’t want to bring more than absolutely necessary plus we require a good kitchen set-up! And the the location!! Amazing views from the kitchen, living room and pool deck. Being on the Atlantic side ensured a constant breeze; i.e. it wasn’t sweltering hot and no mosquitoes. Dawn Beach was indeed a close walk but we prefer to beach-hop in the Caribbean and Villa Suzanne was well-positioned for us to do just that. The final “cherry on top” were the owners and the housekeeper Catherine. Wonderful wonderful people who are truly excited about St. Martin and want you to have the best experience possible. And we did! (family of 6)
Suzanne Duling, Philadelphia Dec 2016
Our stay at Villa Suzanne was Wonderful! It was a surprise for my husband’s birthday to be going to St. Martin & then meeting our friends in Atlanta to bring them with us was the topping. The house was everything it was in the pictures and more! Sitting at the table by the pool and looking out at the ocean/ beach/ boats every day was everything a vacation should be, and the sounds of the surf totally soothed your soul. Our friends spend a lot of time on beach vacations, staying in condos, etc. and were totally impressed with how well-appointed the kitchen was, because we all love to cook. We ate in about half of the nights and every breakfast and found everything we needed to prepare delicious meals. We felt like part of the rich and famous, staying at such a luxurious home. Clair and Homere were great and we really appreciated their services. We can’t say enough good things about St. Martin, either. Everyone was very friendly, we never met anyone less than that. The food we ate out was amazing. I had curried goat and oxtail stew for lunch (both because I couldn’t decide, so the waitress brought me 1/2 order of each) in Marigot at a sidewalk cafe. We ate at Busbys/ Daniels the first night which set the tone for excellent meals to follow. Had lunch there and then Van’s birthday dinner at Big Fish which was fabulous. Shopping at Carrefour was a great experience–wish we had stores like that here: fresh whole fish, great vegetables, hard to find ingredients, but even the tiny local stores were good. The wine selection and price was amazing, the cheeses were excellent and we had fresh baguettes every day. The villa was so lovely and special that some nights we stayed at home and just had shrimp and salad with cheese and baguettes and wine for dinner. Perfect. It’s easy to get around in St. Martin and we explored everywhere. Dawn Beach is just a walk down the road and is beautiful. Orient Beach, Grand Case and Friar’s Beach are also wonderful. We checked when there were no cruise ships in town so we could visit Phillipsburg without dealing with crowds. The total ambiance of the house and the island made this one of our more memorable vacations. Thank you both for sharing such a wonderful place as Villa Suzanne. We would tell anyone going to St. Martin to stay there–it doesn’t get any better than that.

Another Amazing Trip to Suzanne
We just returned from our third stay at the amazing Villa Suzanne. We cannot say enough great things about the owners John and Susan and their incredible villa. We brought our cousins with us for the first time and they were completely amazed and impressed with the accommodations Villa Suzanne offers. Everything about the house is perfect, the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The open living room which leads out to the beautiful private pool make you never want to leave the property. Catherine is amazing and so helpful. We always love to visit the places John and Susan recommend. Our personal favorite is going to Palm Beach, where you can enjoy an amazing lunch and personal service from your lounge chair. We have many restaurants that we have returned to, such as Piazza Pascal and Izi, also Mama’s Pizza right around the corner from the villa is great!. If you are planning on visiting St Martin this is the only place to stay! Check out the pictures, though it is even more beautiful in person. Many thanks to Susan and John for another wonderful visit, we truly appreciate you sharing your home with us. We will most definitely be back again soon!

Beautiful Villa
You will not be disappointed with this villa, the location, or the hospitality of the owners. This was our second visit to Villa Suzanne and we hope to have many more. We’ve stayed at other locations on the island, but hands down this has been our favorite! You can’t beat the view, the quick walk to an amazing beach, and the pristine accommodations. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms luxurious, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The terrace has plenty of seating (in or out of the sun), a wonderful pool, and a fantastic view of Dawn Beach. We enjoyed the villa so much that we really hesitated to leave. But, its location is ideal for heading into Phillipsburg or North to Orient Beach or exploring other parts of the island. Catherine is an incredible housekeeper and she really took care of us. Don’t pass up on opportunity for her to cook – incredible!

Great vacation
We arrived, met Catherine & Ken when we went to pick up our rent a car & we followed them to Villa Suzanne. When we arrived they showed us around the villa & we were in awe of the house & the views, we knew it was a great choice for us. We had groceries delivered & everything was there & put away. The Westin is a short walk away with a casino but it was very small. We went to Palm Beach/Orient Beach & Maho Beach but be careful of the waves at Maho Beach. We enjoyed the villa & St Maarten so much, but was disappointed we ran out of time & didn’t have Catherine cook for us, I guess we will have to return & stay longer then a week.

Outstanding Views
Just returned from 2 weeks at Villa Suzanne with extended family (5 adults and 4 small children ranging from age 3 to 7). Absolutely gorgeous villa. Pictures accurate and do not do it justice in fact. Extremely well appointed with true chef’s kitchen. We ate nearly every meal at the villa, often on the deck with amazing views of the ocean and beach, and always cooled by the fantastic trade winds. There were no major issues during our stay, but I was quite confident that should something unexpected have arisen, it would have been promptly taken care of by the onsite staff, Catherine and Ken. They were kind, gracious and oh so helpful, and in fact the daily housekeeping was “over the top”. The location was excellent….quiet and off the beaten path but not so far from amenities to feel isolated. Dawn beach is beautiful, the seaweed not an issue, and mosquitos nearly nonexistent given the trade winds. The only downside I can think of, was the rather white knuckle drive to reach the villa over some very tall “mountains”. Believe the prior reviews that suggested a 4 wheel drive (I changed the car we rented after our first day there). I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Villa Suzanne in the future, either as an adult only vacation or with children. I have no regrets.

March 2016 Visit
This was our first stay on St. Maarten and we had an amazing time. This villa is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It is a unique villa (to us) in that we could rent 1,2 , 3 or 4 bedrooms depending on our needs, while enjoying the large kitchen, dining room and living room regardless of how many bedrooms were rented. We loved the open air construction and took advantage of allowing the breezes through. The views from every room are sweeping, unobstructed views of the ocean. There were several outdoor seating areas to enjoy the ocean view and the pool in both sun and shade. The villa was located on a road with other villas, with ample space in between to give you privacy. We appreciated being met at the car rental place and having someone personally direct us to the villa. We were then met by another person at the villa to have the amenities explained to us. The surrounding gardens are beautiful. We had dinners catered in by Fabulous Feasts which worked out well, providing delicious meals. As a matter of fact we never left the villa! I would recommend this to couples or families with older children. The rental process through the owners was smooth and seamless. We hope to visit again soon!

Perfect in Every Way
Stayed in January 2016 — My husband and I just returned from a glorious 10 day stay at Villa Suzanne. Words cannot describe how wonderful our experience was. It all begins from the first contact with Susan and John. They were so easy to work with and made us feel at home even before we arrived at the Villa. Our only regret is that we were not able to meet Catherine. After reading all of the previous reviews, we realize that we missed out on a gem. Ken was very kind and helpful and was there for us anytime we needed something. We fell in love with Trevor at the gate. What a delightful man. The Villa far exceeded our expectations. We did stay very busy and visited much of the island. All our day trips were wonderful, however, it was always wonderful to return “home” to the Villa. We loved the location. Spent evenings at Oyster Pond at Dinghy Docks. You must try their nachos. Mama’s Pizza was nice too. We went to Grand Case on Tuesday night for the Mardi Gras celebration. Marigot was a favorite as well. Tropicana and Le Galion were our favorite restaurants. You truly feel as though you are in France. Would recommend a day trip to Anguilla. We rented a car and drove to Shoal Bay which was beautiful. We spent time at Orient Beach, Baie Rouge, Mullet Bay, Anse Marcel and of course, Dawn Beach. All were unique and special. Rented Kayaks to Pinel Island. Was a very nice and relaxing day. In Simpson Bay area we did go to the Sunset Grill and experience the airplane phenomena. It was entertaining. As said earlier, returning to the quiet and serenity of Villa Suzanne was the best of all. Thanks you Susan and John for sharing your lovely home in paradise. Cannot wait to return.

Villa Suzanne lived up to expectations
Stayed in January 2016 — We recently rented Villa Suzanne for the week of Jan 9, 2016 with our family, 8 adults, and it was wonderful. The pictures don’t do justice to the view from the Terrace. Susan made everything very easy. The Villa was very comfortable and spacious and had all the comforts of home. All four bedrooms were perfect and beds were very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the Terrace enjoying the pool or sitting outside and enjoying the ocean breezes. There were no mosquitoes. Catherine was fantastic. She & Ken made dinner for us one night and it was delicious. We enjoyed it again the next day for lunch. Loved getting up early for morning walks on the beach and caught a couple of sunrises and then doing some yoga on the terrace overlooking that magnificent view. Thank you, Susan, John , Catherine & Ken — we really enjoyed our stay.

Vacation… What great memories!
Stayed in January 2016 — my wife, two boys and future daughter in law just came from spending a week at Villa Suzanne and it was amazing. Our third stay in that neighborhood and can safely say the best. We have walked past this villa in years past and I would say…..”someday” . If you want the best villa with the best view… this is it! I couldn’t wait to get back to the villa after a hot day at the beach. We couldn’t get enough of the cool breeze and view. Susan has a VERY thorough list of beaches and restaurants that will take you a lifetime to visit…. follow them and you cant go wrong. My kids spoke highly of the zip line and loved Pinel island …sort of Gilligans island look …they pull the lobster out of the trap for you to approve !! I am partial to Canoa the first night because its a 3 minute bumpy ride away from the villa and after a long day of travelling who wants to drive to Grand Case? La Pressoir, Spiga and Canoa were my favorites but my family also loved the Dingy dock for the bar atmosphere (there fish was actually excellent) and also a new Mexican restaurant that Susan just heard about…Fantastic!! Make reservations before you leave the states…maybe 3 weeks just to be safe. Catherin takes good care of you and is sooo sweet. Blake at the gate ….god love him….as Susan says he takes his job serious… haha yes he does. He and I chatted every morning as would take our many beer and wine bottles down to the recycler… I’m sure Catherine was happy to take them down but I would have felt bad as it was always a substantial haul. At the end of our stays there, I always tip Blake … hug him and thank him for taking care of my family. Thanks again Susan and John for sharing and trusting us with your beautiful home. What great memories.

The most perfect Villa!
August 2015 — We take vacations every summer with our adult children and their husbands for some 1:1 time. We cherish this time to make memories that will last forever. My husband and I have very high standards when picking a house for vacation :). Villa Suzanne exceeded all of our expectations and more!! We can’t stop talking about the million dollar view that you just can’t stop looking at from the Villa. We would wake up every morning at 5:45am so we would not miss the spectacular sunrise that would start our day. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need too. Susan is lucky to have Catherine, Ken and the pool guy because they are so very nice and took the best care of us! Dawn Beach is just a short walk away and was very uncrowded so most of the time it was just our family and a couple of other people on the beach. We visited many beaches, took an ATV tour, went scuba diving and took a sunset tour. We were always so happy to get back to the Villa since the pool and the view were just fantastic!! I can’t say enough good things about Villa Suzanne. I am so glad we stayed on the Dutch side since the Villa had the same voltage as U.S. but it was fun to visit the French side. I can guarantee you that if you pick this villa, you are picking the BEST of the best!!

Another Great Stay
Stayed in May — We just returned from another great stay at Villa Suzanne. Accommodations were just as perfect as last time. Susan was wonderful to work with and Catherine was very attentive. Prior to arrival we arranged for provisions to be delivered. It was so nice to have a stocked fridge when we arrived. It was well worth the extra money because we didn’t want to waste any time getting to the villa. Susan provides a list of their favorite places. This year we returned to Palm Beach which never disappoints. Great restaurant and cozy lounge chairs on the beach which are free to use if you stay for lunch. We also hit up a couple of beaches that were new to us. One day we went to Maho beach to watch the planes come in. It was such a fun experience to see a 757 fly over you while you swim in the ocean. Sunset Beach Bar is at the end of the beach so you can stay for lunch or grab some drinks to bring down to the beach. Anse Marcel is another beach we hadn’t been to. It is far and away our favorite! We went twice while we were on the island. The food and drinks at the beach restaurant are outstanding. The water is very calm and the scenery is beautiful. Don’t miss this! Susan also recommended Mama’s Pizza. Le Planteur and the Dinghy Dock bar. All were good and close to the villa. Le Ti Bouchon located near Grand Case was another favorite. It will close down for the Summer and reopen in the Fall so if you are staying in St. Martin during the open months make this a must eat at restaurant and book your reservation far in advance. Returning to Villa Suzanne after a day of exploring was like coming home. It’s very comfortable and the setting is just beautiful. St. Martin has been dry for the past couple months but we did see a few showers while we were there. That brought the mosquitoes out. Definitely get some mosquito milk from the store. A citronella candle for the outside table helped too. We love Villa Suzanne and hope to return for a third visit in 2017. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful home.

Fantastic Vacation !
Stayed in May 2015 — My wife and I were looking for the perfect place to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary and we could not have found a more perfect place. The location in St Maarten turned out to be ideal for us. The villa had amazing views of Dawn Beach, very comfortable bed and bath, nice open spaces with a great pool, overlooking the ocean. Catherine, the house keeper, prepared a wonderful Caribbean styled dinner for our anniversary, much better than any restaurant! All details for our stay were handled superbly by Susan and Catherine, top notch in every way! It was very tough to leave, but we really look forward to returning some day!

Outstanding in Every Way!
Stayed in April 2015 — Our group of 4 couples just returned from 10 days at Villa Suzanne, and we all agree – it was outstanding! The villa is just about perfect! We have traveled as a group renting villas for many years and Villa Suzanne is now our favorite. The house design is just perfect, with lots of open space, a fabulous pool, and many lounging areas. The four nearly identical bedrooms and en suite baths are spacious and luxurious. The beds are very comfy too. All of the house furnishings were top notch. Being able to lounge around the pool with those fabulous views and the waves crashing on the rocks below – perfection! We never wanted to leave the house! Catherine, the housekeeper, is a gem – very friendly with lots of suggestions to help you enjoy your vacation. She cooked a great dinner for us one night that was plentiful and delicious. And working with Susan, the owner, was simple and easy. She was quick to respond and has a great welcoming letter with island favorites. The island of St Martin has lots to offer – beautiful beaches, tons of restaurants and lots of boating excursions. Traffic can be intense sometimes, but Villa Suzanne is in a great location with easy access to all parts of the island. If you are looking for a great home on this island, you will love Villa Suzanne. Wish we didn’t have to leave!!

Spectacular Vacation
Stayed in February 2015 — We just returned from our spectacular family vacation at Villa Suzanne! John and Susan were wonderful to work with and so accommodating with arrangements. We love their restaurant recommendations and places to visit. Thank you for sending such a informative welcome letter! The pictures of the villa do not due justice to how lovely the home is and breathtaking the views are! The welcome basket was such a nice touch and has everything you need to make your stay perfect! The house is well stocked with all the amenities! The beds are so comfy and the linens were luxurious! We didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return!!!

Amazing Vacation!!!
Stayed in January 2015 —This villa was absolutely perfect for our vacation. We were a group of 4 couples, so this home was just right for us. Everything was beautiful and well maintained. We spent a lot of time relaxing around the pool and enjoying the wonderful view. Catherine was extremely helpful and kind, she gave us many tips to better enjoy our trip. Ken was great too. It was very helpful to be able to follow him to the villa on our first day so we didn’t get lost. We spent an equal amount of time on the French side and the Dutch side, so the location was great. We really enjoyed Daniels by the Sea, excellent food and service, and it was very close! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful villa with us, I know we all had a great time, and would definitely recommend to friends!!

Best Christmas Vacation!
Stayed in December 2014 — Outstanding. Villa Suzanne, the owners, the caretakers, the views, the amenities, everything was wonderful. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Will definately be returning to this home. Thank you for sharing paradise with us !

Another fabulous visit!
We just returned from our second stay at Villa Suzanne! We were so happy to return to this magnificent home. We were quickly reminded of the breathtaking views and the beautiful atmosphere that this home offers. John and Susan are the wonderful owners and so accommodating. We had to make some last minute changes and add more rooms to our reservation. Catherine was a pleasure as always, constantly making sure we had everything we needed and answering our questions. We love the newest recommendations from the owners about Palm Beach, an absolutely must do. Our day there was simply paradise, Stephan took care of us all day, he was amazing. Drinks and lunch at the beach, the best service anywhere. Some of our favorite restaurants are in Grand Case, Piazza Pascale as well as Le Soleil both definitely worth the visit. We also enjoyed Mamas pizza in oyster bay and one of our favorites in Simpson Bay is Izi, delicious Italian food. Thank you again to John and Susan for letting us stay in their beautiful ocean view home. As I have said before The pictures are amazing, but in person it is even better. Simply put the best villa on all of Dawn Beach! Look forward to returning in the future.

A magnificent home base for an incredible vacation!
Prior to booking Villa Suzanne for a 4 week stay just recently completed, we researched every 4 BR villa on the island. EVERY single one. We’d booked over 6 months in advance and being that summer is slow season on St. Maarten, there were very few that were not available. Once you exclude the 55k / weeks ones – although they’re fun to look at – we kept coming back to this home. In the end, and after having spent nearly a month on the island, we found that Dawn Beach is the perfect place to use as a home base for everything you want to do on the island. Less than 5 minutes drive to Oyster Pond, 10 minutes to Phillipsburg, 15 to Orient Beach and 20 to Grand Case or Simpson Bay. Less than a 5 minute walk down to Dawn Beach which fronts the Westin Hotel. Villa Suzanne is located in Dawn Beach Estates and the view is nothing short of spectacular. Many reviewers have stated that the pictures do not do this property justice and they are not lying. One thing I did not expect however was the 24/7 sound of the waves rolling in as there is a reef break located almost directly out the back of the house facing the ocean with an almost constant tradewind ( few breezes on the west coast ). I can’t get the sound out of my head and miss it almost more than anything else. I literally worked on the patio located next to the pool each and every night until sunrise after having slept for a few hours and it was the most serene setting I’ve ever been around. After daybreak, it was 2 hours in the pool each morning, watching the sun climb higher while resting my coffee and/or bloody mary on the very convenient pool ledge that allows you to watch the unobstructed beach and ocean views for as long as I wanted or until the kids finally got up and started moving around. There were days we simply never left. The home is very well decorated and spotless. Catherine the housekeeper is everything everyone said she’d be and the owners of the property, Susan and John, were incredibly responsive – literally minutes with some emails we’d written about various questions. The islanders themselves are very friendly and while we’d read about crime on the island, we always felt incredibly safe in the home as well as anywhere we traveled to. Inside of a few days, after we’d gone somewhere it always felt as though we were coming home when passing through the gates. We went everywhere and the location and home are perfect. Do not hesitate to book Villa Suzanne.
Jerry, Alpharetta, GA Jun 2014
We spent a week a Villa Suzanne and my only complaint is I wished we had stayed longer. Ken met us at the car rental agency and we followed him to Villa Suzanne. We were not disappointed when we arrived. The house is more beautiful in person. The view is amazing. The home is well maintained and the decor is high end. Its stocked with everything you need. Susan gave us a list of their favorite places and we checked out many of them. We enjoyed Tropicana for lunch and Mr. Busbys for dinner. Our favorite beach was Palm Beach. Great atmosphere with beach chairs and chaise lounges. A waiter will bring you drinks and you can use the chairs for free if you eat at their awesome outdoor restaurant. The food was delicious. One day we rented kayaks and visited Pinel Island. This was so fun! There are two restaurants and the water is very calm for kids to play in. Bring shoes that will be comfortable to hike in. You don’t want to miss the panoramic views from the highest point of the island. Baie Rouge Beach was quiet and beautiful. Just beware that water gets deep fast so you have to stay close to the kiddos at all times. The Butterfly Farm was very interesting. Don’t miss it! Catherine cooked for us one night and it was a true feast- a highlight of our trip that was worth every penny. You will have left overs! Head over to Marigot on a Wednesday morning and get some fresh fish to cook up at the house. Very inexpensive and so good! We also did the champagne brunch at the the Westin on Sunday morning. It’s a short walk from the house and was very enjoyable. I do suggest stopping at the grocery store upon arrival or ordering some provisionals to carry you through the first day. Bring bug spray!!! Lots of bug spray!!! When touring the island I kept asking myself if there was anywhere else I would like to stay in the future. We will only return to Villa Suzanne. It was perfect!

Perfection in Every Way!
The villa is absolutely beautiful both inside and out! Catherine the caretaker is a wonderful woman who makes the stay even more special. The scenery from the villa is breathtaking. Suzanne the owner was so very helpful and kind, assisting us with all our questions and steering us in the right direction for services on the island. We were there for our daughter’s wedding and I can honestly say everything was perfect! We are so appreciative they made our stay a wonderful experience.

Villa Suzanne Review
We have been in St. Marteen over the years and just love the island but we can honestly say Villa Suzanne is a little piece of Paradise. We will never be able to write in words what we felt and still feel from staying at Villa Suzanne. Truly beautiful from the constant ocean breezes, open floor plan, detail is paid to every part of this warm, inviting home. The views are unbelievable, just unbelievable!! The decor is absolutely wonderful and all bedroom suites have ocean views!! Pool and privacy, mintues to beautiful Dawn Beach. Snorkeling (I followed an octopus around for a while) truly amazing!! From the minute you get off the plane you are greeted with Ken who escorts you to the Villa. Catherine the caretaker well – she is an amazing warm and friendly woman – she is there for anything that you may need. No need to go anywhere else when you find this gem!!

Two weeks in Paradise!
Our two week stay at Villa Suzanne was magical! My husband and I invited my parents to join us for the first week and we had the second week on our own. There was plenty of room for all of us to feel comfortable and have our own space. The bedrooms are comfortable and the house is furnished beautifully. The outdoor living space is beautiful! The view of Dawn Beach and the clear turquoise water was amazing, both during the day and at night. The photos do not do this property justice; it is even more beautiful in person. There is an amazing amount of privacy. One of our favorite things about the house was the constant sound of crashing waves. Dawn Beach at the Westin is just a 5 minute walk. There is another part of the beach with restaurants, but it is separated by large rocks with no way to safely get across, however, you can drive a short distance to get to the other side. We took day trips via ferry to both Anguilla (Amazing!) and St. Bart’s. I thought Dawn Beach was the best beach on the island, and we went to most of the beaches during our stay. When we return to St. Maarten, we will definitely stay at Villa Suzanne again!

Villa Suzanne more like villa paradise!
I simply dont have enough space to truly convey the beauty of this place and its gorgeous views. my fiance and I had a wonderful time walking down to dawn beach and snorkeling every morning(5 min walk) and taking trips around the island. Its no surprise that every night we ended up back at the villa on the patio enjoying the night sky becuase it is so easy to relax in the lap of luxury which is villa suzanne. Catherine the caretaker is truly a joy to have around and i found myself looking forward to the mornings where she would come by to tidy up and talk about the island giving us great ideas on where to go and what to see. she will also cook you a wonderful dinner which we experienced and i must say it was the best meal of our 12 days on the island. The owners were great with our questions and they were just a phone call away if they were needed. I would most certainly reccomend this rental to anyone who wants an island getaway and i am sure i will be back with my family next year. very well maintained and clean Oyster bay restaurants: mama’s pizza, canoa, big fish visiting pinel island was a blast

Amazing villa!
Staying at Villa Suzanne was simply magnificent! From the moment we arrived in St. Marteen our experience of the island and this villa was perfect. When we arrived we were greeted by Villa Suzanne’s caretaker, Catherine. She was a gem! She was the most friendly lady on the island and took great care of us. One evening she prepared an authentic Caribbean dinner for my Birthday that was amazing. The villa itself was breath takingly exquisite! It was decorated beautifully, very up to date, and clean. It has four very large master suites that are all the same size so it is perfect for a large family or four couples. The views of the ocean from the terrace and pool were wonderful; the pictures on the website can’t do it justice. The location of the villa on the island was ideal. The Westin was a five minute walk providing access to their pool, hot tub, and beach with chairs. We really enjoyed snorkeling right off of the beach at the Westin. Our most favorite excursion was on a private charter from Captain Alan’s. This excursion took us to Guana Bay, Pinel Island, and Tintamarre where we snorkeled with Sea Turtles. There are several great restaurants close by the villa that we really enjoyed. We loved St. Marteen because there are so many different gorgeous beaches to visit. We were so happy with our choice to stay at Villa Suzzane. This was our first trip to St. Marteen so we did a great deal of research on the best villa and were so happy we found Villa Suzanne. We hope to be able to return one day with all of our children and family to share this wonderful place!

Great villa for family
My wife’s parents rented this Villa in St. Maarten for the whole family to join them. We all had an excellent time and very much enjoyed the accommodations. Our family has 3 small children so the pool was a blast and we were easily able to nap the kids without having a mass migration off the beach. The view is breathtaking, and the location is situated where we could get to most places on the island without difficulty. We could tell that close attention to detail and craftsmanship went into the villa.

When entering Villa Suzanne, you are awestruck by the surrounding views and quality of the residence. The home lacks for nothing. There are 4 master bedrooms, with ample closet space and each with its own bath, equal to what one would expect in a home of this nature. Each room boasts a view of the ocean. The pictures do not do the home justice. The home is well maintained by Katherine. After a week of being spoiled by Katherine, it is no wonder that she is asked to return to the States by all who stay here. The Villa over looks Dawn Beach, one of the least crowded and best beaches on the island. The home enjoys amazing views of sunrise; it is an easy walk to the beach. But perhaps what we will miss the most, is the ample outdoor eating areas. The constant breeze keeps the temperatures moderate and with the night lighting, it sets a most romantic dining experience; even when surrounded by family or friends. The home is adjacent to the Westin Hotel which provides the services one has come to expect. A nice gym, spa, restaurants and casino, a five minute walk away. I highly recommend this home. The owners are very helpful supplying information and has someone to greet you at the airport to guide you to your home for the week. The owners accomodate your every need, from cribs, to bbq’s. Just ask and it can be arranged, Due to the size of our family, we ate home most nights. One night Katherine arranged for a friend of hers to cook a Carribean meal at the house. Our lips are still burning from the hot sauce, but our adult children can’t stop talking about it. If you want a fun beach bar try the Dinghy Dock in Oyster Pond. With beers at $1.50 overlooking a marina, friendly people, you can’t go wrong. I would rent a car while on island. The home is a short, albeit bumpy, road to the main thoroughfares which lead to Marigot, Grand Case or Phillipsburg. There is a Fresh Market which provides all the fresh produce or you can stop at the stands at the side of the road. Main provisioning was done at Grande Marche. There you can find all of the brands from the USA plus those from all over the world.; not to mention a surprisingly extensive wine selection. The employees wear t-shirts with “May I help You” and help they do…from pointing you to the right isle to carrying the groceries to the car. We would come back in a heartbeat. If the home was not rented, we would have stayed another week.
